PrintThe volume documents Richard Osman's field work studying plankton in southern New England approximately May to October of 2000. The notebook contains loose inserts. In the beginning of the volume is a note explaining that the first part is the picking information from the Connecticut samples and how they were "sieved." There are five pages (loose notes) containing a number list with common name of fauna, number (e.g. #16), and unidentified information (e.g. 25x, Mountain A). Volume entries contain method of collecting (e.g. rocket raft), date, sample number, vial number, followed by a list of species found and quantity. Entries often include additional notes about specimens collected, sometimes with drawings. Entries are not in chronological order.
