Abstract

The notes document Russell Greenberg's work on a bird census on Barro Colorado Island, Panama, during October 1988 to March 1989. Includes a variety of contents: overview instructions for working on the island, lists of expenses, notes for work completed in Sian Ka'an [Mexico], tables of aggregated bird data, photocopies of news clippings, and field observations. Field notes are filled out as individual sheets of paper headed with date, location information (e.g. old forest), weather, followed with data recording observations of birds including type (common name), sex, quantity, and measurements relating to movements.
