Abstract

The field notes document field work of Denton W. Crocker relating to the study of crayfish during May 23, 1948- August 19, 1952. Sheets list station number (DWC 1 to DWC 171), date, location description (state, county, town, landmarks or roads), and specimens collected (scientific name, sex, quantity). Sometimes includes information about preservation, habitat (water flow, width, bottom; vegetation), method of collection, and additional specimen characteristics like stage of development. Appears that in some cases he is recording return visits to stations. Locations are primarily across New York.
