Abstract

The field notes document work of Denton W. Crocker relating to the study of Orconectes during 1952-1960. Sheets include station number (DWC 348 to DWC 436), date (June 25, 1952 to July 20, 1960), collector names (numerous and often abbreviated), locality, location information (state, county, landmark), specimens collected (scientific name, quantity, and sex). Sometimes includes USNM number (e.g. 176224), description of water (temperature, color, visibility, bottom) and population abundance. Some Locations include but are not limited to New York, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Maine, Idaho, Virginia, Georgia, and Louisiana.
