Abstract

The field notes document field work of Denton W. Crocker relating to the study of Orconectes and other invertebrates during 1952-1959. The sheets list station number (DWC 171 to DWC 347), date (August 25, 1952 to August 2, 1959), collector (sometimes others, listed with abbreviations), locality and location description (e.g. state, county, landmarks, distance from), specimens found (scientific name), along with quantity, sex, and remarks. Remarks include additional information about specimen characteristics (including age). There are USNM specimen numbers that were written in later (e.g. 176128). Locations include but are not limited to Massachusetts, West Virginia, New Hampshire, and Maine.
