Abstract

The box of slides documents the field work of William Osman relating to benthic marine life during 1979. Images show marine life growing on plates that have been submerged in areas along the coast of California. Slides have captions that include size (e.g. L), identifier (e.g. A3 OS), month and year (e.g. 7-79), and unidentified information (e.g. 63-54). Slides are divided into four columns, described on a sheet of paper lining the inside of the box lid. These are headed with ON, ON, OS, and OS. The columns are divided into rows, each including addition information, regarding sizes and duplications.
