Abstract

The box of slides documents the field work of William Osman relating to benthic marine life during 1979-1980. Images show marine life growing on plates that have been submerged in areas along the coast of California. Slides have captions that include size (e.g. L), identifier (e.g. F3 "3BK"), month and year (e.g. 4-80), notes possibly relating to other locations (e.g. 5SK), and unidentified information (e.g. 122-21). Images are divided into four columns that are described on a sheet of paper lining the inside of the box lid. Details include notes in related cells (e.g. D transfers from "2BK").
