Abstract

The box of slides documents the field work of William Osman relating to benthic marine life during 1978-1980. Images show marine life growing on plates that have been submerged in areas along the coast of California. Slides have captions that include size (e.g. L), identifier (e.g. B3 4SK), and month and year (e.g. 8-80). The slides are divided into four columns and described on a sheet of paper that lines the inside of the box lid. Description on the sheet usually includes single letters in corresponding cells.
