Abstract

The box of slides documents the field work of William Osman relating to benthic marine life during 1977-1989. Images show benthic marine life growing on plates that have been submerged in areas along the California coast. Slides include the following description: size (e.g. Sm), identifier (e.g. 1-4N 800), month and year (e.g. 1-78), and unidentified information 3-16). The slides are divided into four columns and described on a sheet of paper inside the box lid. Information includes "control stn" numbers, times of year (e.g. summer 1977).
