Abstract

The journal documents Horton Hobbs' work on aquatic invertebrates in Dominica during 1965 to 1966. The journal begins with contact information on various pages. The January 1st entry contains an index listing station number (101 to 132), location (e.g. Warner R. 2 mi N. Ponte Cassé), and corresponding pages or what appears to be dates. Entries are narrative in structure and describe travel details, daily work and activities, interactions with locals and colleagues, collecting locations, specimens collected (scientific name), specimen characteristics, and observations of invertebrate abundance. It is unclear if the pre-printed dates correspond with entry dates.
