The three field books document work of Perry Holt relating to Branchiobdellida during 1947-1949. The first volume, "1-28, 1947, Georgia" covers collecting during June 1, 1947 listing specimen number, type (scientific name), locality, habitat description, possibly locality number (e.g. 9-138-1) and collector's specimen number (e.g. Holt 1-18). The second volume, "Holt-Lane, 1947" covers a list of specimens collected by Holt and Lane that contains location, number (e.g. 8-2547-1), locality, and collector(s) for 1947-1949. The third volume covers specimens collected during 1949.
