Abstract

The volume documents the work of Russ Greenberg on Worm-eating warblers (WEW) during May 1984 while working for the National Zoological Park. Entries are dated and sometimes narrative in structure; these contain descriptions of weather, route traveled, observations of bird behavior (including foraging), and time of day. Other notes are more likely to contain lists or annotated drawings describing bird movements. Bird descriptions are often abbreviated and denote type, sex, quantity. Also includes entries headed with "dead leaf sample #." Location is unclear.
