Abstract

The notebook documents the field work of S. F. Light relating to freshwater copepods during 1934 - 1940. Entries are typed and handwritten, and are organized by number (1200-1601). Entries vary in content; the first set list date (nonsequential), elevation, location information, collector name, air and water temperature, and notes. Notes include specific specimens (scientific name) collected with identifier (1200.1). Later entries include a description of habitat, notes on abundance, and body of water. Locations are primarily across Oregon and California. Includes various collectors: F. Zeisenhenne, V. Scheffer, P. R. Needham, and S. F. Light.
