Abstract

The papers document field work of Paul Bartsch during the Johnson-Smithsonian Deep-Sea Expedition to the Puerto Rico Trench, 1933. Contains a typed list of tin tag numbers and descriptions with date, name of object, and locality. Objects include coral, crustaceans, mollusks, worms and a variety of other marine life. Also contains typed transcripts of entries, a list of photographic property left on board the vessel Caroline, drawing of apparatus for collecting, procedures for bottom dredging, correspondence, and list of supplies.
