Abstract

The papers document field work of Paul Bartsch during Smithsonian-Roebling Expedition to Cuba photographs during April 1 - 24, 1937. Contains a field catalog for numbers 1 - 500. Also contains hand written entries and a typed transcript of the field notes and catalog. Entries describe travel details, destinations, daily activities and interactions, observations of wildlife including birds, specimen collecting (variety of marine life including fish and invertebrates). Contains lists of birds seen (common name), specimens collected (scientific name), and specimen numbers (e.g. 10 TT 25). Relates to National Museum of Natural History accession number 142696.
