Abstract

The field notes document the work of Paul Bartsch in Puerto Rico during 1928. Includes a letter to L. Stejneger dated July 18, 1928. Entries are dated (June 7 to September 6) and mostly narrative in structure. Entries contain travel details, daily activities and interactions with colleagues, observations of wildlife, and specimen collecting, and sometimes time of day. Also include descriptions organized by station number. Contains lists of birds (common name) observed, drawings with notations about collecting sites, and a list of lizards, amphibians, and birds collected with tin tag number. There are notes relating to bird collecting. Appears to contain notes from another individual for August 12 - 22, 1928. Locations include Vega Alta and Matangas.
