Abstract

The field notes document Meredith Jones' field work relating to worms in Point Richmond on the eastern shore of San Francisco Bay, California, during 1953. The study investigated the bottom conditions and the benthic fauna off Point Richmond. The volume contains a variety of documentation regarding the field work -- maps with station numbers, a typed report, and original data sheets. Work was conducted during September 14, 15, and October 5, 1953. Data sheets vary in content. Some list station number, time, water depth, amount of sample, and characteristics of the bottom. Other sheets list species present per station number or measurements possibly relating to water characteristics.
