Abstract

This item is comprised primarily of specimen lists from W.L. Abbott's collecting efforts throughout the Dominican Republic beginning November 29, 1920 and ending December 28, 1923. The volume includes scientific and common names of botanical specimen no. 1-2952. It also includes a list of orchid specimens collected by Abbott in 1922 and named by Oakes Ames in January 1923. The specimen lists are accompanied by narrative notes regarding locality and a few hand drawn maps with collecting locations indicated in red. The volume also contains list of 120 specimens which were collected in Maryland, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey.
