Abstract

This notebook documents the work of James F. Luhr in relation to his volcanology research during May 6-9, 2002 in Mexico. Entries provide information about: date, directions to collection site, description of terrain, and list of samples. Samples are described as follows: identifier (e.g. GTO-02-21C), measurements, location (latitude and longitude), area (e.g.1770 m.) color, type of rock, inclusions, and information about photographs with descriptions. There are a few sketches of calderas and cross sections in the notebook. Locations include: Juriquilla, Hoya San Nicolas, Hoja Blanca, Hoya Alberca, Santa Rosa. Some entries include lists of tasks needed for research.
