Abstract

These notes document the field work of James Luhr in connection to his volcanology research in Mexico during March 23, 1987 - September 16, 1992. Locations include: Mexican Volcanic Belt, San Luis Pototsi, Baja, and Metates. Entries provide information on: date, directions to the collection site, sample number (e.g. Col-17.1). Samples are described by: description of terrain, geological characteristics, color of the sample, inclusions, type of rock, and sometimes drawings of the observed phenomena (e.g. lava flow chart). There are multiples inserts with contact information and notes with sample information.
