Abstract

These notes document the work of James Luhr in Italy during June 3 - 21, 1984. Entries provide data on: date, description of terrain, sample (number, type of rock (e.g. pumice, ash), composites (e.g. lithified), count, metric measurements, color, collection location), notes on the photos of the samples, sometimes stratigraphic drawings. Some entries have location number (e.g. Location 235) with detailed description of layers of different minerals. Locations include: Casa di Salvo, Carpoli, Mass. Moritella, Fosso Publico, Trognano, Piantoli Quarry, Friello, Summit of Potete, Mass. La Foglia (LaVaglie).
