Abstract

These notes document the field work of James Luhr related to his volcanological research in Mexico during January 9 - February 24, 1983. First entry contains information on the meetings planned during this trip. Entries provide data on: date, directions to location, specimen identifier (e.g. OF-13), geological characteristics of the specimens (deposits, color, density, type and composition of rocks), measurements in meters, notes on the photographs of the samples, sometimes station numbers. Some entries include geospatial drawings and notes on traveler's checks with date and number. Locations include but not limited to Jorullo, V.Colima, and San Isidro de Mazatepec.
