Abstract

These field notes recorded the field notes of James Luhr's trip in Mexico related to his research in volcanology during January 14 - March 6, 1982. The first entry provides the listing of the field sites: no. (e.g. 52535), location (e.g. Cd.Obregan), and some financial indicator (e.g. $300). The specimens have identifiers (e.g. M82-1) and include information: on directions to the site, description of terrain, geological characteristics, specific location, photos, deposits, metric measurements. Some notes document volcanic activity such as airfall, ashflow, and pyroclitic flows with degree indicators. There are geospatial drawings and calculations pertaining to the observed phenomena. Entries document locations in Jorullo, Atenquique Park, Bellavista, V. Colima. There are notes on financial aspects of the field trip (e.g. traveler's checks no. and dates) and schedules of appointments from January 19 - March 17.
