Abstract

The notebook documents the volcanology fieldwork of James Luhr in Valle de Santiago, Mexico, during May 17 - 20, 2003 and May 6 -11, 2005. Entries are dated and narrative in structure. They list travel details, expenses, observations of terrain, travel routes in the field, first names of team members, and details about specimen collecting. Collecting details include specimen number (e.g. GTO-03-22), location (latitude and longitude), specimen characteristics, and descriptions of photographs taken. Also includes drawings with notations, list of volcanic fields that have been studied by team, and specimen number collected by each team member for the 2003 and 2005 field work.
