Abstract

These field notes document the work of James F. Luhr on volcanology in Roccamonfina, Italy, during August 22 - September 9, 1980. Some of the notes appear to provide data for longitudinal study of the specific locations with identifiers (revisited RP-49). There is a table with numerical data on sample pairs to test stratigraphic compositional variations. Entries provide information on: date, directions to collection site, terrain description, count/density of pumice and lithics, specimen identifiers (e.g. RP-100). Occasionally, there are records of collected probes and notes on the photographs of the samples.
