Abstract

The notebook documents the work of Everett Dale Jackson in Tahiti during December 12, 1973 - January 19, 1974. Entries include date, detailed route to the collection site, and information about samples such as: specimen identifier (e.g. 73 TAH-2), specific collection point (e.g. near road), types of minerals, geological characteristics, inclusions (e.g. ol+px, ol rich), color, measurements, count, and abundance. Occasionally, the author provides personal observations in relation to travel.
