Abstract

The notebook documents the fieldwork of Everett D. Jackson in California during March 23 to August 18, 1955. The volume begins with a table of contents that lists page number, description, date and specs. (appears to be specimen numbers). Description lists location and type of work completed. Entries are dated, and list results of etch tests, staining, and narrative entries describing field work. Field entries are headed with location, names of team members, and notes on routes traveled, observations of terrain, composition of ground including types of minerals, and specimens. Includes maps from U.S. Geological Survey for Lambert Mine in Butte County, California, with notations. Locations include but are not limited to Lambert Mine, Magic Mountain, and Pacoima Canyon.
