Abstract

The notebook documents work of Everett Dale Jackson in Montana during 1968. The first entry begins on June 29, 1968. The data includes date, names of collectors, detailed directions to the collection site, geological (e.g. ol+br, br+pc+cpx) and physical (abundance, density, color) characteristics of the minerals, and additional information about the landscape. Some entries are marked by what appears to be a specimen identifier (e.g. 68 NB-5) and provide information about measurements, count of specimens, and methods of collection. There are a few schematic drawings of cross sections of geological structures.
