Abstract

The notebook documents the trip of Everett Dale Jackson in Europe during 1968. Each entry of the notebook provides data on: date, group leader, detailed description of the route (occasionally, mileage), specimen identifier (e.g. 68 EU-40). Specimen information includes: specimen identifiers, chemical and physical characteristics of samples,count, types of rock, exploration methods, and sometimes information on photography. There are occasional drawings of geological characteristics of the environment where specimens were collected. Some indicated locations include: Lanzo, Eiffel area, Montgenevre, Davos, and Amberg. All pages are numbered.
