Abstract

The notebook recorded the work of Everett Dale Jackson in Hawaii during January 7 - February 27, 1968. The volume begins with an inserted sample list with specimen identifier (e.g. 68SAL-18) is taped to the flyleaf. Data provided includes: date, name of collector, details directions/routes to the collection sites, specimen identifier (e.g. 68 VPA-1). Every specimen is described under its location identifier and provides information about: rock type and characteristics (color, density, measurements in feet and inches), methods of exploration and some geological notations. All pages are numbered. Some locations indicated: Maunawili, Kalama Crater, Hawaii Kai and Kaneohe.
