Abstract

The notebook documents the fieldwork of Everett D. Jackson at the Stillwater complex in Montana, August 7 - October 21, 1951. The volume begins with a detailed table of contents that lists page number, description, date, and specs. Entries are headed with date, location, researchers (E. D. Jackson and James Heitkotter), followed by entries that list station numbers, specimen numbers (e.g. JE-17), and corresponding descriptions. Station description includes terrain as (slopes, outcroppings, etc.) well as color and composition, types of minerals present, and sometimes measurements.
