Abstract

The notebook documents the fieldwork of Everett D. Jackson at the Stillwater complex in Montana, during July 8 - August 1, 1951. The volume is numbered 1. There is a table of contents three pages into the volume that lists page number and location. These include the vicinity of Nye Basin, Alice Lode, Graham Creek and Mt. View tunnel at S10. Entries are headed with date, location information, collectors, followed with descriptions of geological characteristics. These include color and composition, latitude and longitude, descriptions of slopes and outcroppings, presence of chromite and other minerals. Some entries contain drawings with notations.
