Abstract

The notebook documents the field work of Carl H. Broedel in Stillwater county, Montana, January 2 to March 8, 1941. The volume begins with an index listing page number and subject. Subject often describes location and type of work completed. Entries vary in content and structure. The first entries are tables of data that are headed with date, location (e.g. Diamond Drill Holl No. B), and author (C. H. Broedel). The table contains run, length of core assay, and condition of core. Second form of entries contains a table listing depth and a detailed description of core samples. The third form of entries is a list of specimens taken from localities, with footage in feet.
