Abstract

The field book documents information about birds that contributed to the research of Russell Greenberg. Location is not identified. Notes provide information about date, weather conditions (overcast, temperature), time, locality, vegetation, type and measurements of the birds seen. There are extensive notes written in a form of narrative throughout the notebook that include information about the route of field trip and the habitat. Another data set is presented in a form of a table, including: time, type and sex of bird, measurements, no. 1-9 and T. There are several data sheets with bird count with type of location (open forest, close to stream). Some notes are taken by the pencil and provide the same data as the table. There is an insert with the poem as well a personal letter to his mother.
