Abstract

The notebook documents work completed during the Smithsonian-Bredin Expedition in the Caribbean, 1959. Includes a list of expedition members and crew. Entries are organized by station number (1-59 to 119-59), followed by locality, date (April 2 to May 3, 1959), description of habitat, specimens collected, and remarks and observations. Subsequent entries list type (usually common name) and quantity of specimens. There are multiple authors. Locations include West Indies, Barbuda, Antigua among others. Specimens collected include plankton, fishes, crustacea, worms, and algae. Relates to accession number 223851 at Department of Invertebrate Zoology, National Museum of Natural History.
