Abstract

This specimen list of birds from Stejneger contains numbers 101-448. Other number ranges are included as well (601-716; 1-23; 1-16) and may indicated a listing of a separate category. The list may have been compiled from a variety of field notes after field research was conducted. Lists provide binomials, sex of specimen, and location. Locations are in Norway (including Kristiana / Oslo and probably Bergen) and possibly other parts of Europe and the world. Also included four sets of bird feathers with varying dates. A "distribution of specimens" log from the Smithsonian U. S. National Museum is also included with a list of specimen, locality collected, original donor, catalogue number, and other information.
