General notes includes information about types of fauna present, about specimens including appearance and identifiers, habitat, collecting conditions, and personal observations. Some general notes are extensive in length. There is also an itinerary for July – August 1972 and miscellaneous inserts with contact information. Locations are in but not limited to: the United States (North Carolina, Massachusetts); Caribbean Sea; Atlantic Ocean; and Eniwetok [Enewetak] Atoll.
