The hydrographic sheet no. 1765 provides information on sea bottom specimens collected from Louisiana: South West Pass to Long. 89°35' w., no 1766: Long. 89°35' to Barataria Bay during 19 February - 11 May, 1886. Data includes date., section no., locality (latitude, longitude), fathoms, appearance, bottle no., draw.no. Party was commanded by Lieut. F. H. Cosby, U.S.N.
