Abstract

The hydrographic sheet no. 1731 gives information on sea bottom specimens from Long Island Sound, Connecticut and New York collected in September 14 - October 21, 1886. The party was commanded by Lieut. F. H. Crosby, U.S.N. The data includes dates, section nos., locality (latitude and longitude), fathoms, appearance, box no., which are provided on two pages.
