Abstract

The hydrographic sheet no. 1698 provides information about sea bottom specimens in New York and Connecticut, Long Island Sound along the north shore. The party was commanded by Lt. D.D.V. Stuart, U.S.N. during July 12 - November 12, 1886. The data provided includes date, sometimes section no., locality (latitude and longitude), fathom, appearances, and box no. The hydrographic sheet refers to other hydrographic sheets nos. 1683, 1698, 1699, 1700 within this collection.
