Abstract

The notebook documents the field work of Russ Greenberg regarding birds' foraging in Mexico during February 4 - March 9, 1989. Inside the front cover are notes referencing entries in "Jill's notebook" regarding netting at locations and checking on netting numbers for a "grazed acahual". Entries vary in content and structure. There appears to be more than one author. Some entries are headed with date, location description (e.g. landmarks), time of day, followed by a list of bird observations. Description includes sex, abbreviation that may refer to type of bird, quantity, and unidentified measurements. Other entries are bird counts listing common name, or descriptions of birds that has been recaptured and characteristics (common name, fat, weight, identifier, appearance, sex , age).
