Abstract

This collection of field data sheets documents the work Robert F. Bolland in Okinawa for the Smithsonian Oceanographic Sorting Center during April 30 - October 28, 1989. Field notes relate to Accession #341664 in Department of Invertebrate Zoology, National Museum of Natural History. Description in the field data sheets varies. Most sheets list: date, field no. (RFB-2136 to RFB-2287), time, coll. by, lat[itude], long[itude], chart, locality, ecol. habitat, water temp, tide, depth of water, depth of capture, method of capture, preservative, and general notes. Notes cover description of specimen lots, habitat, and characteristics (including appearance) of specimens. Specimen lot descriptions are often extensive. Data sheets that contain unexpected specimens have a note at the top (e.g. snakes).
