PrintThe black-and-white photographs were taken as part of the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program, 1963-1968. The photographs depict Masked booby (Blue-faced booby) on Baker Island, French Frigate Shoals, Howland Island, Jarvis Island, Laysan Island, Lisianski Island, McKean Island, Phoenix Island, and Taongi Atoll. Some photographs depict chicks, eggs, and nests. Photographs are attributed to R. B. Clapp, R. D. Chander, D. L. Pearson, P. C. Shelton, Frank Smith, and P. W. Woodward.
