Abstract

The notebook documents the work of Russ Greenberg in Sian Ka'an [Quintana Roo], Mexico, February 13-26, 1987. Entries are sometimes dated and headed with location. They vary between narrative in structure, lists, and drawings of bird locations. The narrative entries frequently begin with range of time and descriptions of weather; age, type (common name), and quantity of birds observed; and remarks. Narrative is often followed by a "day list" of birds observed. Birds lists contain common names. Drawings are essentially diagrams/maps of bird observations, depicting location and behavior.
