Abstract

The hydrographic sheet no. 1638 documents collecting of sea bottom specimens from the north shore of Long Island Sound from Negro Head to Welch's Point in Connecticut, November 14 - 15, 1884. Lieut. W. G. Cutler, U.S.N., was commanding the party. The table of data includes date, section no., locality, fathoms, and appearance. There is a note at the bottom that states to see also Hydrographic sheets 1637 a and b.
