The item is comprised of specimen lists of plants and animals observed and collected by Bailey during his travels through California from July-October, 1907. Dated specimen lists are organized by location, beginning July 22, 1907 in Santa Ana, California and ending on October 31, 1907 in Santa Barbara, California. Lists typically include genus and often also include species. The item also includes a plant catalog with specimen no. 1188-1402.
