Abstract

The materials document the field work on crayfish by Horton H. Hobbs during 1981. The papers are divided into two sections. The first section includes two maps, notebook, and sheets. The maps include travel route notations for work in Georgia. The notebook contains date entries with information about travel and stops. Field note sheets cover work in South Carolina during April 1981, and list: no. (e.g. 4-1181-1); date; co. & state; drainage system; loc. [locality]; water, flow, width, depth; vegetation; shore; weather; time; capture; det. [determination] sometimes with USNM numbers; coll. [collectors] including Georgia Hobbs and Jean E. Pugh. Sheets contain additional notes about travel, specimens, observations of habitat. Also includes a drawing with notations headed with no. 4-1281-1. The second section contains field note sheets that relate to accession number 347083 at Department of Invertebrate Zoology, National Museum of Natural History, and work in Virginia during October 1981.
