Abstract

This is the first of two folders that document the field work of Horton H. Hobbs during 1971-1972. The materials are divided into three sections. The first relates to a trip to North Carolina to study crayfish and palaemontes. Data sheets list: no. (8-2470-1); date; co & state; loc. [locality]; water, flow, width, depth, bottom; vegetation; shore; weather; time; capture; det. [determination]; coll. [collectors]; and remarks. Remarks include additional information about preservation, specimens, observed behaviors, personal and professional observations. Also includes a maps with route notations. Second section includes data sheets from work in Georgia and North Carolina during May 1971. The third section contains datasheets from work in North Carolina during May to July, 1971. Some include USNM numbers.
