Abstract

The sheets and maps document the field work of Horton H. Hobbs during 1967-1968. Sheets are divided into two sections. The first section includes a typed list of locations organized by state and county. This is followed by data sheets that list: no (4-1268-1 to 5-168-3); date; co. & state; drainage system; loc. [locality]; water, width, depth, bottom; vegetation; shore; air temp; weather; time; capture [method]; det. [determination]; and collectors (Hobbs and Hobbs). Also includes a list of mileage, destinations, and times. Second grouping contains field notes (data sheets) that are photocopies. These contain no. (H-8-868-2); date, county and state; collectors (Hobbs and his son); locality; time; and detailed list of determinations and descriptions for specimens. Several of the sheets contain extensive remarks. Maps include notations marking routes traveled. Locations were in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Mississippi.
