Abstract

The sheets primarily document the field work of Horton H. Hobbs during 1954. The sheets list: (sometimes) date; cat. no (4-1054-1 to 8-2154-4); P.O.; co. and state; locality; water, flow, width, depth, bottom; weather; and general notes. General notes include drawings of specimens, information about preservation, and method of collection. Locations include Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia. There is a separate grouping of data sheets that document collecting in South Carolina (catalog numbers 1- 30). They include addition information about water temperature, stream and shore vegetation, method of capture, collector, preservative. Collectors include E. A. Crawford, Flemming and Goff.
